1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SecurityScanner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SecurityScanner is an AI-powered web security scanning platform that audits public URLs across 10 security modules aligned with OWASP Top 10 2025. The Service provides security scores, vulnerability findings, OWASP compliance reports, and AI-generated code fix suggestions.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SecurityScanner only for:

  • Scanning websites you own or have explicit authorization to test
  • Legitimate security assessment and vulnerability research
  • Compliance verification for your own web properties

You must NOT use the Service to:

  • Scan websites without authorization
  • Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities found in third-party systems
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to overwhelm or DDoS any target

4. Accounts & Billing

  • Free tier users receive 1 scan per 24-hour period
  • Paid plans include a 14-day free trial
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • No refunds for partial billing periods

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SecurityScanner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that all vulnerabilities will be detected, that code fixes will be error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Security scanning is a point-in-time assessment and should not be considered a comprehensive security audit.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SecurityScanner be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to any security breaches, data loss, or business interruption.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, and its underlying technology are the property of SecurityScanner. Scan results and AI-generated code fixes are provided for your use in securing your own web properties.

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
